Hyunjoo Yang examines Korea's long-run development and contemporary economic challenges using newly constructed historical, administrative, spatial, and digital data. His methodology combines applied microeconomics with GIS, machine learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to study institutions, political legacies, regional development, and household behavior.
